POLMAILY HOUSE – WHOLE HOUSE RENTAL –
CANCELLATION POLICY – Updated 1 October, 2023.
The purpose of this policy is to clarify your rights and responsibilities when you have decided that you would like to make a booking to stay here at Polmaily House with your friends and family.
Once you have decided to book, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the full rental price to secure your booking. This money will not come off the total still owed but will act as a damage waiver which will be returned to you within a week of your departure, as long as the house is left in good condition.
By making your booking to stay at Polmaily House, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel:
- Up to 12 weeks before your arrival date you will not be liable for anything but will forfeit your deposit.
- Between 12 weeks and 10 weeks you are liable to pay 50% of the balance.
- Between 10 weeks and 8 weeks you are liable to pay 75% of the balance.
- If you cancel within 8 weeks of your arrival date, you are liable for 100% of the balance.
Payment for your stay is due in full at least 8 weeks before your arrival date. If payment is not made on time, then this will be deemed as a cancellation, and you will be liable for 100% of the balance.
If a booking takes place less than 8 weeks before arrival date, then full payment will be required at time of booking.
In every case where a cancellation takes place, we will do our utmost to re-let the dates and if successful we will then reimburse you, minus any expenses we may have incurred. If we need to reduce the price in order to relet, we will reimburse you the reduced amount minus your deposit.
Many unforeseen things can occur either prior or while on holiday and we strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance.
