Following on from an extensive refurbishment (Spring 2020), Polmaily House once again opens its historic doors as a unique and wonderful exclusive use venue for your private self-catering celebrations.

The 300 year old former Georgian home of the Grant clan, sitting in 6 acres of beautiful grounds, now welcomes you and your clan to celebrate your special occasion.

The Big House can comfortably accommodate 24 guests sleeping in 12 bedrooms, 11 of which are en-suite. The house comes fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need to make your stay a truly memorable one. We can help arrange your stay, organising activities and events, if you would like us to do so. Guests usually cook their own meals in the well equipped kitchen but some catering is possible, as are themed events. It really is a rarity to find a property which provides everything that Polmaily House has to offer.

Our idea is for you to be able to spend valuable and uninterrupted time with your friends, family or even colleagues over a number of days, enjoying the unrivalled facilities that Polmaily House has to offer – a tennis court, a trout pond, a cinema room, an indoor games area, a 24 seater dining table and a heated indoor swimming pool. The possibilities are endless. The surrounding area also has so much to offer, especially with us being in the most beautiful glen in Scotland and just a couple of minutes from the mysterious and magical Loch Ness. Not to mention the almost equally famous whisky distilleries and top-notch championship golf courses, wonderful fishing opportunities, glorious hiking trails and fantastic cycling – both on and off road.

Layout of the House (whilst we do have 31 beds, we like to have a maximum of 24 people staying in the house at any one time.)

Ground Floor:
Kitchen – all modern appliances; large electric AGA; large wooden breakfast table and chairs and benches.
Utility Room –  second sink, drainer and dishwasher.
Boot Room – rear access to the property with fridge and freezers.                                                   
Dining room – a massive room for all your guests to congregate; a lounge area and a 24 seater dining table.                                                                                                                               

Bar – a cosy bar where you can enjoy a wee dram.                                                                             
Drawing room – a lovely lounge with large open fire and a piano.                                                   
Cinema Room – a wonderful addition to the house – a 10 foot cinema screen with 6 reclining chairs and space for a few more viewers to enjoy a movie or streamed TV.                                   
Breakfast room – a lovely sunny conservatory with tables and chairs and views of the grounds and the newly established rose garden.                                                                                                 
Downstairs toilets – a bathroom with three toilet cubicles and two wash hand basins.  

First Floor
Room 1: A room with two Single Beds or One Super King.
Room 2: A room with a King Size Four Poster Bed with a private en-suite bathroom.
Room 3: A room with a Super King Bed with a private en-suite bathroom.
Room 4: A room with a Double Room with private en-suite bathroom.
Room 5: A two roomed Family Suite with a Day Bed that becomes Two Single Beds in one room and a Double Bed and lounge area in another room with a private en-suite bathroom.
Room 6: A room with a Full-Size Bunk Bed with private en-suite bathroom.
Room 7: A room with a King Size Bed in one room and a second room with a Day Bed that becomes Two Single Beds with a private en-suite bathroom.

Second Floor
Room 8: A room with a Super King or a Twin Room with a private en-suite bathroom. 
Room 9: A room with a King Size Bed with a private en-suite bathroom.
Room 10: A Family Suite with two rooms. One room has a Double Bed and a full-size bunk bed in a smaller room with a private en-suite bathroom.
Room 11: A Family Suite with two rooms. One room has a King Size Bed with a lounge area and the other room has two singles that can be made into a King Size Bed with a private en-suite bathroom. 
Room 12: A room with a Single Bed with a private en-suite bathroom.
